The Art and Graphic Design Studio has been training individuals, and business employees, in one-on-one and in group sessions at our studio or at customer locations since 1997. We teach both the PC and Macintosh operating systems. Training in desktop publishing, Microsoft applications and web design are where we get the most calls for. Other types of training are also offered. Custom training for specific needs can be arranged also.

People find our type of training and schedule unique. You can start just about anytime you want and be trained from where your knowledge ends to where you need it to go. The flexible schedule and hours you choose leave you with unlimited possibilities. The Art and Graphic Design Studio is open 12 months a year for training.

Typical students can range from students at college who need additional tutoring, to individuals who need to learn specific things for their job requirements or even people who are going to buy a computer for the first time and want to learn how to use it. We have been told repeatedly by our students how much more more they enjoyed our training and how much more personal attention and interest we showed in them. Out of the all the students who had prior training that I asked for a comparison evaluation, only one so far has said they were just as happy with their prior training but that our approach was different and that we did offer more personal attention. In all other comparisons, we were told how much more they learned here.

Web Usage

We can show you how to navigate the internet. You will be able to use search engines (to find the websites that you are looking for), online phone books, get directions and much, much more. The internet is the biggest library in the world. For example, you can browse for entertainment, sports scores, business, school, research, medical conditions and treatments, get all kind of statistics on any subject, get suggestions, follow the stock market or get food and dietary information of all kinds.

I personally have done internet research before going to visit the doctor. I had prepared so much information and questions that the doctor was in awe of my knowlege. I needed to use the internet as a resource many times during the 7 years that I took care of my sick and elderly parents. I felt that this gave me so much more control over the situation. I had so many more options that I would not have had without the internet.

We will even teach you how to efficiently use your e-mail. If you have access to a scanner or digital camera, we can show you how to send photos to anyone who has access to the internet.
